5280 Whiskey Society

 What began in 2016 as a small circle of friends gathering to smoke cigars and share American whiskey grew into something far greater. Founder Nate Winegar, who is passionate about opening rare, hard-to-find bottles and sharing them with others, watched the group expand naturally as friends brought friends and the conversations deepened. Wanting to bring more substance to the gatherings, Nate traveled to Kentucky, toured distilleries, built relationships in the industry, and returned with a vision: not just to share pours, but to educate. The first official gathering was held in 2017, and 5280 Whiskey Society was born. 5280 grew slowly and organically, eventually capping membership and building a waitlist hundreds deep. Today, it is recognized as one of the premier whiskey societies in the United States, rooted in the same values it started with: fellowship, education, and the belief that great whiskey is always better shared.
